Yes, you can use any kind of oil you have available though I wouldn’t recommend using any vegetable oil (like Crisco) b/c they are not healthy oils to ingest but olive oil or coconut oil will work great. Take up to a tablespoon into your mouth (less if you have a smaller mouth) but leave enough room to swish it for 20 minutes. You may need to spit some out as you go and as saliva builds up. have you tried oil pulling? I had a filling fall out and had to wait 5 months before I could get to a holistic dentist to get it fixed. In the mean time I was trying to chew on just one side b/c it was so sensitive. Yeah, I have wondered the same thing about that place. From what I remember about my research when I was first looking for a cav dentist, Dr. B doesn’t do cav surgery himself. If he thinks a patient should have it, he refers them to a local oral surgeon. I believe I was told that they do like to try the injections first before recommending surgery. I believe we are past the point where any topical application can have any effect on the cavitation sites. The wound is completely healed on the surface. That is not the issue. It seems that the infection was not completely removed during the surgeries and/or bone fragments were allowed to remain in the extraction site. Based on what I know, the only way to remove that infection now is to go back in and surgically drill it out, working down to clean, healthy bone and flush the site well before allowing a natural clot to form.   [End]

Based on what I’ve read, I would second the vote for Valplast suggested by the first person to respond. Only possible down side would be that it is hard to polish and cannot be easily relined during adjustments. Dr. Frank Jerome, a holistic dentist dedicated a whole section in his book to partials and which type to use. you are right, using it in moderation is key. at first I thought more was better so I used it at full strength for a couple weeks and my teeth actually started to look stained with dark brown spots so I cut back to a couple times a week, just swishing it as a mouth wash diluted with plenty of water as recommended on Jim Humble’s ”MMS Answers” website. It will most likely offer some relief from pain in your mouth at least. You can mix the oil of your choice (coconut is best) with oil of oregano or clove oil which you can find at some health food stores or online (iHerb.com has them).
