Looking back, I remember a time in the summer where after i used my facial cleanser it would make my lips a little white because it had salicylic acid in it. This was before I ever had the peeling. I think that the header of this forum in itself may tell some of us something. I have been experiencing anxiety from EC as well. The other day at a doctors appointment my doctor asked me how I was doing emotionally, and I broke down and cried for the first time about this. I don’t know why it happened but it just came out. I’m now on Lexapro. The doctor said he researched EC some and the only cure he could find was for an 18 year old boy who they treated with antidepressants and the condition cleared up. I really have no idea what caused this. I’m guessing it was diet, although I was eating pretty healthy (lots of fruits, lots of whole wheat bread) but I may have overdone it because I would eat them in pretty large quantities. There was also a stretch of about 2 weeks where I made these cookies with splenda in them. I was not using vaseline at the time of these photos (about a month ago) but recently a derm told me to use vaseline so I started. I am going to stop tarting tomorrow though, I was prescribed a topical cortisone. I have tried other cortisones for about a month and they did not help, so I’m not very confident this will help.
