When I had my root canal done, the denist who did the root canal completely drilled out the temporary filling, cleaned out the tooth did the root canal, and then put in a new filling over the root canal. Sounds like you picked up a parasite in Asia like I did. You probably killed off a big one and they went into hibernation. I also don’t eat sushi anymore, except for the sushi made with veggies or cooked fish.
