Hi all- I got my Mirena removed about a week and a half ago. Some things I feel better about, knees don’t hurt as much, don’t get that ”fluttering” feeling in my belly, but my emotions have been all over the place. I feel like it is just me and that I’m never going to get better. I didn’t expect to feel better over night but I really went off on my husband the other day. I also have been fighting an respiratory infection and had the added stress of a houseful of guests for Easter, but I thought that I should have been able to handle things better. Hi vbg-I had mine for 7 years(actually the first one for 5 years, then got another for almost two years). I thought that everything was fine. I liked not getting a period. I thought all the moodiness, aches and pains were just me...getting older. After I got the second Mirena, I bled all the time, not alot, but enough. Hello Everyone- I wanted to let everyone know that I went to my Gyn today for my annual and to talk about having the Mirena removed. She had NO problem with removing it. It was like she was expecting it! She said that she would remove it after my pap so I didn’t have to come back. I was sort of waiting for a fight. She just poppped it out, no pain. Hi- I found your forum when I searched for Mirena side effects. I have been reading it over the past few days. I have to say that most everything, from irritablity to dry eyes are things that I have been experiencing. Some of the symptoms I would have never thought to associate with the Mirena. I am on my second Mirena, had the first for five years and this one I have had for about a year.
