My Mother is a lung cancer survivor since 1995, she was 54 at the time. She did however have a lung removed. The aftermath of the chemo and the operation nearly were more than she could survive. She is in good health now. Chemo is typically not very effective in treating lung cancer and my mother was no exception, it shrinked her tumor very little.
