The past few years I would get outbreaks of foliculitis on my neck behind my ears, and on my scalp. The outbreaks would occur during stressful times. I finally went to the dermatologist. I was prescribed antibiotics and steroid cream. While this treatment was helpful for the short term, the outbreaks would come back after I was off the antibiotics for a few weeks, and the steroid cream only helped so much.
