I am probably going to go on accutane after 9 to 10 years of trying all of the alternatives and still suffering horribly with acne and disfiguring scarring. After 9 or 10 years with cystic acne, and all the alternatives I can think of, I just might finally go on accutane. I am getting good health insurance for the first time ever, and just feel like I’ve had it. I have a large support group, so people would be there to let me know if they are witnessing personality changes, etc. If I start to have terrible side-effects, I can just stop. Thanks.   [End]

I’ve had severe, cystic, chronic acne since I was 19 and am 28 now. I’ve tried cleanses, B5, birth control pills, vitamin therapy, herbs, most of the well-known over the counter AND prescription topical treatments, have had blood tests done for hormone levels (which seem to be fine) and I am STIll suffering with the constant pain and agony of cystic acne on my face, head and occasionally other parts of my body. I have terrible scarring and the infected sites make me look like a lepar. I am about at my breaking point after 9 years of patience. I am seriously considering Accutane. Does ...

I have cronic, cystic acne and horrible allergies. I figure it’s about time I start cleansing my liver; but the epsom salts (especially the amounts) in a liver flush seem no unnatural to me. I’ve heard of people having problems and needing to go to the ER while doing epsom salt flushes. Anyone got anything to tell me about this?   [End]
