Google ”Dale’s Story Scleroderma.” I’m using his protocol and it is working. I’m sure this lady probably did a similar regime to his. Healing the gut is what is important I think. I fasted on whey water for two weeks, then juice fasted. When I introduced food back in too fast I stole up and reactivated the pain. Update: Pain stays mostly in remission as long as I continue to only juice with small amounts of things like Avacado, banana, salad etc. I get slight pain and swelling in my hands and feet in mornings and nights, but not nearly as much as I had before the fast. After the fast, include just one new food item per day in your diet and watch for any change in your symptoms. I used a very large pot and put any ORGANIC meat with bone in it. Ribs, chicken, chops..anything you can get hold of. No vegetables. Covered with water to an inch below the top. Hi Everyone, I am being evaluated for a possible scleroderma. Needless to say I am terrified. I have multiple GI symptoms and lung scaring but no skin changes at all. There also are some other issues that just don’t fit. I have heard of the antibiotic therapy, minocyclin is used. I heard a lot of people been cured by it, not just scleroderma, but all the auto immune. This is a followup. They did finally post my discussion of the three articles, but strangely omitted entirely one of the three articles, stripping it down to a discussion of only two of them. The third article was important because that study said that nf-kB is already subnormal in scleroderma, so it raises the question of whether therapy with curcumin, and nf-kB inhibitor might aggravate that issue even while having certain other benefits. I am sometimes positive for ANA but also DNA. Its a much more specific test for lupus. In the 90’s I was told that a positive anti-DNA test means 100% positive for lupus but only 5% of those with lupus text positive. now I’ve found that positive anti-DNA can indicate Scleroderma, at least I think I read that. I do have dermatitis. I hope you’re right that is all it is. It’s been limited to my face. There was also some psoriasis on my elbow but Desonate Gel quickly cleared that up. I hope your right. It does not look or sound like psoriasis or scleroderma to me. To me it looks more like a simple dermatitis. From the description you gave it also sounds like this. If it is a dermatitis then washing your hands with soap frequently will aggravate it. So will having your hands in water a lot or exposing your skin to other highly alkalinizing substances such as wet cement or alkaline soils. Something to keep in mind if your job involves any of this. I recommend frequently adding a mild acid to the area to restore the normal slightly acidic skin pH. Hi, I just had a lab test that told me that I was positive for ANA. I was at a quantitative 1:640 and that was after the blood was diluted. I was also testing positive for the Anti nuclear Antib, my interpretation of the ANA was homogeneous and was told that it may be a false positive but more testing was warranted. I found that everyone that I spoke to that had scleroderma is severeley dehydrated. Hey White Tiger.... and others, great info you have provided! SLS is terrible! Why do you think toothpaste creates a foam when brushing? It’s the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate that is doing it!...and of course, making shampoo all sudsy too. Try a toothpaste without SLS and you will notice a difference. I would get ferocious canker sores in my mouth(OUCH!! I had 6 at one time) and my skin specialist advised me to switch toothpastes that didnt have SLS in it. No more canker sores for me! DMSO must be used carefully or it will drive in any contaminants into the system. For example don’t expose to latex or it may induce latex reactions. Does anyone know if scleroderma like manifestations are common with systemic melanoma ? Is this common with any types of cancer at all ? this is driving me nuts. My aunt has Raynaud’s syndrome and has been told that she’s at higher risk than the general population for getting Scleroderma in the future. Is this true? You should also consider reading Spontaneous Healing by Dr. Andrew Weil it has a wonderful story of a man being healed from scleroderma by drinking aloe vera juice, eating fresh lemons, washing his skin with vinegar and taking vitamin e supplements. Be patient with your wife she might come around to the natural remedies. I was diagnosed in June of 2004 and the prescription medicines just don’t work. Has anyone tried glyconutrition for their scleroderma? I was reading that autoimmune diseases are caused by missing glucose labels on proteins in the body. My friend has been diagnosed with SD for 5 years now and she is not getting better. She is less mobile than she was but luckily, her vital organs has not been attacked (yet). She still trust her rhumatologist and don’t want to hear about other alternatives. Hi Bruce, I read some of the DMSO chapter on scleroderma. It talks about CREST syndrome. It also gives case stories of people who are now living a normal life with scleroderma because of DMSO. I apply it topically, which sometimes burns. The book says that it will burn worse for a scleroderma patient because their skin is thinner. It suggests taking it orally. Get the book DMSO Nature’s Healer by Dr. Morton Walker. There is a chapter in that book discussing the uses of DMSO and scleroderma. I bought mine on Amazon.com. I have used DMSO successfully in treating aches and pains. I did not read this chapter, but I remembered seeing it because my brother’s mother-in-law died of scleroderma.
