I had surgery about 2 years ago. My condition is now getting pretty severe and I am soooo relieved to find this website forum. I had lost down to about 108 pounds from 140 pounds, and the doctors prescribed me colestid to help with the bile problem associated with the dumping after I eat. That has helped me gain up to 115 pounds, but I have to take phenergan about every other day if I want to get any rest because the nausea is so bad. I have had the total GI workup which was normal. I am actually having green bile with the diahreah w/o colestid- anyone else having it that bad? I also am having extremely bad spasms in the middle esophagus area every time I eat, no matter how light. (excuse spelling please, I am actually sick today and have been up all night with this). I am scheduled for another opinion next month, but I am extremely desperate. I can honestly say that I don't think anyone thinks I am faking anything because my weight loss is so drastic and I have to literally run to the bathroom if I even taste a bite of food, so it is obvious that it is a problem. Now, what do you do to survive? I am beginning to wonder if I am going to.
