Hi :).

I have 3 Wheatgrass juicers. Mine are all hand-cranked, since where I am we can get power outages which can last for weeks.

These are the ones I currently own:

in both regular metal and stainless steel.
They both work OK, but stainless steel is always better for something like this than the traditional hand-cranked metals, because it won't rust or tarnish. The challenge to the non-stainless type is keeping the thing clean. The first time you run out of time and have to get back to it later, you'll know what I mean.

My non-stainless (Purchased back when nobody knew what wheatgrass was but Anne Wigmore, and you couldn't find a manual stainless steel one anywhere because nobody made 'em yet) had to be cleaned right away, then oiled so it wouldn't rust. *That* was a process, and caused me to stop growing wheatgrass because:
a. It took too long
b. I didn't like the idea of ingesting aged lubricating oil when I juiced the grass.

I believe it is the same as the Commercial Stainless Manual listed in Rikki's great list above. Great post, Rikki :).

My point is, *if* you decide to go manual, stick with the stainless steel.
