... to post a message. Just a note to all you guys and gals looking to give up smoking. Go For it!!! It will be the best decision you ever made. I gave up 4 years ago and have never looked back.

Nicotine doesn't make you calmer - it stresses you out.

Best method of giving up? - Cold turkey. Statistics show that "nicotine patches" don't work (94% failure rate).

I also remember reading an article by an economist on giving up smoking and his conclusion based on economic modelling (of the consumer) was the same - cold turkey.

I gave up cold turkey.

You can too. BTW I recommend the books of Allen Carr. And remember to support yourself nutitionally whilst giving up.
