From what I've been reading lately on BV it seems that it is possible to give it back and forth between partners. It's subjective tho. My gyn says it could possibly be transmitted through intercourse but it's not a STD. How is that?? I don't know. It would seem to make sense that whatever steps you are taking to prevent it, Rx, probiotics, B-6 & folic acid, diet change, etc. should apply to both partners in order to eradicate it. Whether or not there is an actual test for men, I don't know. But you know your body. If it's your experience that you become reinfected after intercourse, then you already know that 'event' worsens your situation. I have read of 'dipping' the penis in hydrogen peroxide might help because some women have found that inserting HP in the vagina has helped. I haven't tried it personally. I am going to try Femmesil (www.toolsforhealing.com) and will probably ask my husband to use it also.

Don't give up. Keep trying to find your solution. Each body is different and heals differently. Hopefully we can learn something and help each other.
