Hi Beth,

I use Spectrum Organic Coconut Oil for cooking
and baking. It does not have the co-co-nutty
taste like the Extra-Virgin Organic Coconut Oil.

I have done enough research now that I am sold
on using the coconut oil as much as possible.

I have been chewing a mouthful of grated coconut
nightly too in order to see if there is any
noticeable benefit from that. It soothes my
sweet tooth and supposedly is very healthy. The
organic grated coconut I buy in bulk and is
cheaper than chocolate or ice cream...ggg...

A seasoned black frying pan has been used enough
that it is much like teflon in its ability to
slid food around. I have seen evidence that you
can absorb too much iron, and also evidence that
it is good for you. I have known elders who used
them all their life and lived very long lives, and
so I try to balance it all out and most of all,
do not worry about it. It is aluminum which I
would really worry about and work to keep out
of my kitchen. I buy Lodge Pro-logic cast iron
which comes seasoned, and then use coconut oil to
continue to keep it seasoned.
