Is Safflower Oil supposed to taste bitter?

The stuff that I bought from the supermarket tastes so bad, EWWWWW.

It expires on Sept. 27, 2007. And it also has a bitter smell.

I was so disgusted, I ran out and bought some sunflower oil.

What should I so with the oil? I'm hoping it's still somewhat usable.

The oil in question: Hollywood Enriched Safflower Oil (Expeller Pressed).
