Grapefruit is well known to interact with a number of drugs.
Drugs that interact with grapefruit and/or grapefruit juice undergo 'cytochrome p450' oxidative metabolism in the intestinal wall or liver.
Immunosuppressant drugs which react with grapefruit include:
Cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), tacrolimus (Prograf) and sirolimus (Rapamune)
