i would also get some iodine tincture in the grocery store and paint it on his belly. in humans, iodine makes the steroid receptors more sensitive. take him off the pred(assuming that is your decision) and then start painting him the next day. start with a quarter size spot and get bigger every day. use that little bottle up over time.

then check into iodine for yourself. it could save your life.
