A very  good question.  Colloidal silver is indeed non selective in killing one celled organisms, and that includes the beneficial bacteria in the gut.  That is why it should alway be accompanied, in my opinion, with a good pro-biotic.  At the very least a good organic non-sweetened  yogurt with active yeast cultures (you can add fresh fruit such as blueberries and/or locally grown honey for flavor).
