I've been reading pretty widely diverse dosages on using supplemental Iodine for breast and ovarian cysts/fibroids, in particular, as well as endometriosis. Everything from .25mg to 50mg.

Can anyone recommend where I can find information about correct dosage, and how to tell if I need it? I have been taking about 1TB kelp per day off and on. I read somewhere that a different form of Iodine is better for breast lumps (maybe iodide?).

Also, I think I read something about a test where you paint the liquid Iodine on your foot and see how fast it gets absorbed to determine whether you need it and how much. Does that really work? My naturopath/homeopath checks me about once every other month, and so far I think I've checked out OK for iodine levels (with kinesiology, anyway), but I think I may have some of the symptoms of deficiency.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
