a doctor is still a doctor.

doctor flechas spent his hour going over the lab he runs and the testing they do.

sigh.

well, the research that comes out of it does have some practical application. some interesting notes:

an important pro-iodine publication of pubmed has been obscurred from those seeking it by filing it under the second name on the paper. dontcha love plausible deniablity?

the body has the storage capacity of 1500mg. dr abraham said what it took to get that - about 50mg a day on the average.

the percentages attributed to different parts of the body was cool to know.
3% in the thyroid.
70% in the fat and muscle.
20% in the skin.

what is the reason for the Iodine in the skin? it is sweating.

as a family practitioner, i think everyone should listen to his take on pregnancy. he said a woman should do at least one 12.5 iodoral a day all through pregnancy, through breast feeding and even give a drop of Lugols every other day to the baby after weaning because the IQ of that child is set durng this whole time up to 2 years of age.

loading test

the loading test is given as 50mg of iodoral. the amount of Iodine excreted via urine reveals how much Iodine is retained. it is a bell curve, pretty much, with some retaining all and some excreting all or even more than was taken.

the ones excreting most of the iodine have symporter problems and need the vit C or higher doses of iodine. the ones who excrete all plus more have organification problems and cant hold on to iodine. this is corrected with b2 and b3.

the ones retaining the most are soaking up the iodine like a sponge and are very low in iodine. these are flagged for cancer and cancer is found many times. once again, lack of iodine promotes cancer.
