These things take time, and it does get better over time, but I still miss my mom, too. July 21st was the 10th anniversary of my mom's death due to heart failure. I found out as soon as I arrived at my sister's house for a "fun" visit after 7 hours in the car with hubby and 10 month old daughter. Mom was only 68, but I found out a little later that her doctor had just put her on bp medicine and thyroid meds at the same time.

I am convinced her doctor killed her. Still, she seemed to know her time was drawing near - even before the doc put her on the drugs. It's what tells me that we seem to have a certain time when we're "supposed to go" - I simply choose to be healthy when it's "my time".
