Whereas many know I am a proponent of going off of Iodine for spells of time, I certainly did discover something quite interesting with two circumstances as of late.
I literally broke my baby toe, (OK, I assumed I broke it, I certainly bashed it hard enough, heard a bit of a crack, and it swelled to twice its normal size). Well, I suffered through the pain, and then smashed it again against a stool leg within a week of the first bashing...same toe.
I literally sat and cried, and this woman does not generally cry over physical pain.
Well, I decided to paint my toe in iodine. It literally took 95% of the pain away within 10 minutes of painting. I painted the entire toe and surrounding area.
Well, this weekend I got a cramp in my lower back, from bending over cleaning under the bed with the vacuum cleaner...I felt the cramp when I tried to straighten myself. Not fun. It persisted and was felt whenever I put pressure on my right foot.
I stuck my finger in my lower back really hard to relieve the pain, but upon doing so remembered the iodine. So I told my daughter to grab the Iodine and follow me to the bed. I laid down and told her, "OK, when I remove my finger, I want you to put several drops exactly where my finger was applying pressure."
It did feel a lot better within 10 minutes. The pain wasn't relieved as much as the baby toe, but we're talking a bigger muscle, too! It felt a lot better, and I just wanted to pass this info along to you.
I now wonder how it would have felt today if I just had her apply it every hour or two. I only had her do it the one time because I was trying to abstain from Iodine use until Trap's iodine came in the mail.
Speaking of which, huh - just heard the mailbox - I'll go see if it's here - YEP! YAY!
Oh, just so all of you know, he PRINTS IN ALL CAPITALS! unlike his typing
(Yeah, I know, rules of the USPS, still - it seems weird) lol!
