In reading some of the more scientific papers on iodine, I remember coming across a statement that Iodine is in your system for 11 days. My experience with taking Iodine and then stopping it for awhile confirms this approx. time period. I continued to detox from the iodine, even after 1 week off. But I had no signs or symptoms at the 2 week off period.
