I use a hot water bottle that comes with an enema attachment. The only thing I've ever used is warm (never hot) water. I haven't tried salts, coffee, or anything else. Any good pharmacy sells them for about $20 US. I use it just as I'm almost done with my shower, and by the time I get out and dry off, it's time to hit the toilet. And voila, everything moves along nicely.
