This guy honestly and truly believes that he doesn't owe you anything, including respect. You've allowed him to dictate the terms of your relationship and you are no more important to him than a fart in a windstorm. To this man, you are only a source of narcissistic supply and he baits, lures, and snags you with empty promises and keeps dangling those empty promises in front of your face like a bait worm on a hook. Now, with that harsh remark comes this: you don't need this guy to make you happy, whole, secure, determined, and successful. If (thank GOD) you are not married to this *sshole, you have the ability - no, the mandate! - to get the hell OUT and preserve and enhance those qualities that he saw in you that he intends to crush. If you do not have any financial obligations to meet with this jerkoff or any children involved, RUN LIKE THE FRIGGING WIND!! It will never get better - not ever.
