hello, my 3 y old is on her 1st day of kindergarten today. There, children are offered cookies as a snack during the morning. She does not eat any junk food at home and I prepare and cook everything on my own, but she is indeed very attracted by packaged foods and snacks ( mostly because other kids seem to munch on them all the time these days).
I have strong reasons to doubt about the quality of those cookies.
Should I try to control the issue? Of course, I can give her a snack to carry with her, but I am 100% sure she would end eating what others are eating anyway.
I do not want to make her feel weird or uncomfortable. On the other hand, I do not like the idea of her eating cookies loaded with white Sugar and margarine.
Making her feel "different" ( and possibly increasing her interest on junk foods, causing maybe stress/eating disorders in the long run as a result, hiding foods etc.) OR allowing her to have (and enjoy) her daily "shot" of junk food...?
What do you think is worse?
THANKS FOR HELP !
