I retrained myself by using the TOILET whenever
I got the urge and learning that holding it was
not a good idea...

I had a good friend who had had a stroke and after
recovering I would drive him to the grocery or we'd
go eat or to a movie. He(we) had a good sense of
humor about it, since he was forced to wear a diaper
because of the damage from the stroke. Still, it would
ruin the day the times he would have to say, please
take me home, I just shit myself. The smell was not
something that goes away either.
