All my life I have tended to sound a little like Pollyanna...at least, I have thought so.

Now that I have committed to 'looking on the bright side', for a month, I don't think I sound like that anymore.

I find myself 'taking steps'...small ones, mind you, but steps.

Nor have I cut out all 'crime' TV...I've watched a few shows, but they have made me more thoughtful. Still trying to put together the pieces, I suppose.

I've gotten a few small jobs done, and made plans for my next steps.

If anything, I suppose you could say I have 'taken a stand'. And I kind of like it.

Yes, there are inequities in the world, but I see how we might get rather tired of them, and replace them with our real preferences.

It is still before midnight, for example, and I am weary. Not so surprising, you might say, but, for me, a chronic night owl, it is good to want to go to bed.
