Thank you, Twinny, that's so basic and important to know.

Interesting, the connection to chi (qi) they mention, with reference to the spleen.

I've seen discussion of chi and chi gong in the non-commercial film, 'Think About It', by one of the few scientists researching the field. Someone there mentions that there are very, very few scientists who take the concept seriously, yet 90% of the public is interested, and 60% of us feel it is true. This is a huge "disconnect", with the very few scientists who are interested, in that scientist's opinion.

My thinking keeps referring back to 'energy', as well.

And, the few home 'experiments' I have tried, make me think so many puzzles may be easier to solve than we have believed. Some ways a person CAN 'do it themselves', I think...perhaps by designing their own methods...by trying. Perhaps even simple, carefully chosen 'words' are the way.

I do know that, for me, focussing on the problem only gets me more of what I DON'T want. Whereas, making a statement, once or twice, and then forgetting about it, works...at least a few times in my life.

Another interesting thing is how many sites and articles mention 'stress' as a causal factor.

If they can accept that 'stress' causes dis-ease, why can't they accept that peacefulness causes well-being?

Maybe it's just that they can't figure a way to market 'peacefulness'.

Wouldn't peacefulness and common sense sell their 'products' like hotcakes? So much less advertising needed, I would think. Money in the bank. And full truthfulness, to boot.

We only have to look at the full-out marketing campaigns of some of these 'smelly' household products to see the wastefulness of the 'marketing first' advertising schemes.

The advertisers keep hoping for another hula-hoop...not realizing that their slips are showing.

See, I can take anything, even BM's, and 'simplify' them.

I have this funny twist of mind.

Thanks for the link, Twinny. That's going to be very useful.
