Within the past hour I was in a local shop that I'd stopped into for about an hour. A TV was on in the corner and tuned to Faux News. Due to the timing of when I walked in, the sequence had just transitioned from some sort of apparent live report making news out of junior being in Mississippi to some sort of other story that bore the above subject line.
Fortunately for me there was also a radio on and turned up loud enough that I did not hear the prepared audio bytes that went along with this apparent story. This occured between 2 & 3 PM EST, Wednesday, so perhaps this was merely a matter of being a slow day scaring up OR chasing down real news and this piece is one that had been already prepared sitting around for just the right slow moment to broadcast.. What I can tell with some certainty is there there was the familiar Fox banner in the bottom left of the screen that included the caption of the subject line. Behind this banner there were two skirts, apparently live, one sitting in front of a studio news desk being interviewed by the one behind. The one in front was featuring frilly, patterned, casual dress (an actual dress-dress). The one behind was favoring that kind of somewhat bland, albeit shiney, men's suit for women that seems to be the epitome of butch-style corporate-media high-fashion for femme's these days. I gather that this was part of the production of props & platform from which to expound upon the captioned headline, but to repeat, I could not hear whatever audio programming was included so as to fashion together some sort of sense out of this particular story. I did, however, notice that the skirt sitting in front of the desk was filled by a young attractive blonde proudly displaying ample cleavage, meanwhile the camera was panning alternately between the view of her/interviewer and some archived video bytes that, I'm guessing, were pieced together for the purpose of supplementing the story related to the subject line and being expounded upon by the skirts.
Color me naive, or silly, but upon first seeing the headline banner flashed on the screen, my eyes & thoughts immediately focused on the trailing portion of the headline ".....can diet help?". At first my mind flashed to hopefull thoughts of - yipee, Fox is going to interview somebody like Jerry Brunetti and expose some of the wonderfully benefiical information he developed on the road to healing his cancer through diet.... but eventually this momentary silly naivete was slapped back to illusionary reality ....that mock reality being acted out by way of broadcast news, and the well-fashioned skirts and the cleavage and finely-produced archived video bytes oh my.
That's all from here, you are now returned to your previous programming already in progress.
