I meant to add: I do use selenium - 200 mcg once a day, and a multi once or twice a week. sorry.

Salt loading I have avoided except on occasion - which was when my kidneys hurt as I upped the dose. This pain is steady. do you all suggest that I load now? Or do a series of flushes while I am off iodine??
