There is no wood alcohol in Lugol's. There is wood alcohol in Tincture of Iodine that you buy in your local drugstore. The kind from J Crows has no wood alcohol, or any type of alcohol in it.

Lugol's is quite safe. It was prescribed for years and years. Then drug companies introduced various medications, promoted their use with lobbying and providing free samples and "education" to doctors, and suddenly everyone is taking pharmaceuticals, and no doctors are prescribing Lugol's, although it still can be prescribed.

On this forum, we have discovered the benefits of taking therapeutic doses. It is a perfectly safe product.
