Thanks for this valuable info, Chris! I think most of us in mainstream society are too full of sodium (the wrong toxic type also) and deficient in selenium, potassium and magnesium, folic acid, natural iodine, zinc, plant based calcium, natural Vitamin D, etc.

I think it was WhiteTiger who posted a while back that all one needs is at least 3 RAW Brazil nuts a day to get a good amount of selenium. I bet with the elderly, one should even add a few more. Every morning now , with my breakfast, I eat three raw brazil nuts. They are worth the $10.00 a pound bag-- I used to blow that money on junk crap, so I don't mind spending $10.00 on something that will restore my body.

If one is elderly, I reccomend getting these raw brazil nuts-- and crush them on your food as a garnish, if you can't chew them.

Also, I reccomend a chlorine filter in your bathtub, and a big carton of Epsom Salts to take an Epsom Salts bath in. Your body will absorb magnesium that way. I also recomend a supplement with Magnesium Citrate. That form of Magnesium will assimilate in the body more fully than the carbonate version. (this goes for Calcium as well-- skip the Carbonate version and preferrably get your calcium from food sources. The magnesium will help the body absorb it and your will find your joints will thank you for it)

With that being said, let's pray that the FDA keeps their greedy hands off of our Brazil Nut supply -- after they intend to poison our almonds come Sept. 1st.
