This is only a guess but I believe Iodoral touches a huge surface area much more so than lugols. It go's thru the stomach the small and large intestine so it can possibly clean house wider and better. I just got my bottle of iodoral and will give it a try. But I always felt Lugol's tends to be absorbed quicker and more local to the mouth-esophagus area.
