When my mom came home from the store, Fluffy knew instantly if she had hamburger in the bag or not.  If she did, he'd start meowing with a passion and wouldn't leave her alone.  If she left groceries sit on the boat for a while, the hamburger would be attacked through the bag, with teethmarks and all.  We also came home to find grooves in the butter if it was left out.
