Can't quarrel with this article because I'm sure it has some merit. However I think a lot depends on the individual.

Some people require to be around people the majority of the time. They can't seem to entertain themselves, so they need others to entertain them.

An example is the person who retires, has no outside interests, and dies within a few years of retiring. Others retire, and live long healthy lives because they have other interests. You might have heard the retired person say "There's not enough hours in the day, I don't know what I did when I worked" Myself, I have been retired for over ten years, divorced, and so adjusted to this scenerio that I couldn't imagine having anybody live with me. I actually wonder what I did for time when I worked.

I do have others in my life, and I see them occasionally, but it's not like I have to have them around constantly in order to survive.

It's like all these findings related to health, it really depends on the individual, their mind set, and their environment.
