''LOWER. When you start to feel tired, add up a bit of food ( I would add a bit of veggie broth and a Granny Smith apple/day and then carry on this way for a month or so).
With the broth you will keep your mineral balance high. It is strange how people think that fasting is bad for your health, many religion had fasting as part of their ritual,,,, simply because it is healthy to do so.''
A month on a granny smith and a bowl of veggie broth a day! What sort of advice is this?!
Do you really think a person can carry a normal workload of daily chores and job on this regimen for a month?
Fasting is usually ok for a few days, provided you are in good health, do not work/exercise too hard and drink liquids.
people who go on hungerstrikes and ingest only fruit juice for weeks just lie down and rest. Since I had friends hungerstriking some time ago, I did some research and discovered that it takes only from 6 weeks of fasting to cause irreversible physical damage in healthy human beings.
And the fact that fasting exists in a number of religion is no proof of its beneficial value; do I need to remind you that religions unfortunately advocate a number of dangerous and absurd prejudices and practices?
Have you ever been in a muslim country during Ramadan, this time of the year when muslims are supposed to fast (only if they are healthy, the elderly, the young and the sick do not have to fast. The fast lasts only from dawn to dusk--at night they eat aplenty? People are edgy, nervous, stressed; there are never more accidents, fainting spells, fights and crimes than during this time.
When you post advice on this forum, please keep in mind that you have a responsability to the readers who might follow it and suffer negative consequences as a result.
Again, even if what you recommend worked for you, it might be dangerous for other people so warnings and caveats are in order.
Even greedy pharmaceutical are aware of the possibility of side effects and feel obligated to warn about them. It's the least we can do on this forum.
