I am a scientist by education and have also wondered about the claims of the liver flush. Hesitantly I tried it and although I still question the mechanism (are the stones pre-formed in the body or are they formed when the oil and the old, thick, sluggish, toxin-laden bile mix). Or can it be either of these? With the former, old stones are expelled, which is a positive thing. With the latter, we are flushing out the toxic bile that our digestive track normally recyles (from the liver to the intestines and back to the liver again). In both scenarios, you are purifying your body. As faor myself, I am not hung up on the mechanism.

I think it is important to remember that the human body is incredibly complex each person is different (and as such will respond differently to different protocols). Something that induces one response in one, may produce a different response in another. I can only speak for myself in saying that the flush feels 'right' and that after 4 I am begining to notice some improvements. I have ADHD and Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome and have been able to get off the prescription meds I have taken for 10 years. My fatigue is not gone yet, but my general trajectroy is improving.

Part of my recovery is to improve spiritually, which invloves trusting my body to tell me what treatment is right or not. In essence, I have learning to listen to my 'gut feeling' ( I also listen and read and even talk to western dr's and try to give my gut a lot of info to base a decision on). I try to keep an open mind, try to accept my disease, and try to trust that I am enduring this as an opportunity to grow. If I can achieve those things, I seem to be at peace (and probably have the best chance at optimal health).
