You know, I asked and asked, and they never seemed to have a clue. They dismissed that it had anything to do with the diflucan. When all the hives broke loose I went to see a dermatologist, thinking it was candida dieoff, yet she did blood tests and found that something had elevated my liver enzymes. she thought that it was likely the diflucan. & maybe some dieoff also overwhelmed my liver and body stress levels. I tested again and after a few weeks my liver enzymes went back to normal....yet the hives remained from November to March before subsiding and returning only lightly in the evenings. So my thought now looking back is that the diflucan stressed my liver and thus my body and adrenals were already not optimal, so I just was not equipped to handle the stress it caused me and instead I felt the full effects of low cortisol at that point. My cortisol last saliva test was in stage 7 of adrenal exhaustion. I have no cortisol during the day and that is what handles inflammation, so I suppose the diflucan provoked an immune response and inflamation was the result (hives) which I had no capacity to calm. It was horrible. Keep me posted on how you do. I hope the SeaSalt and water help, if so then follow up with an adrenal saliva test and get your adrenals built back up. That is what I am doing and even though I've just started with the supplements and good vitamins b complex, vit d, a, e, c & bioflavonoids and flax seed oil, I feel a little better and with the Sea salt and water the hives have almost totally relaxed. So I am hopeful. I also am taking iron as I have severe iron anemia from extremely heavy menstrual flows which were another symptom of adrenal exhaustion, as well as low DHEA and low estrogen. Every stress we go thru adds up and if we don't get the nutrition and support and relief and rest we need, we eventually give out. But the body puts up quite an amazing and intelligent fight to keep us going, understand that sometimes this is years in the making depending on what you are going thru, then depending on what genetics has given you and how well you take care of yourself...Take care & Stay positive.
