And then there is the money for all the trips and spiffs to doctors, lawmakers and agencies, the lovely young pharmaceutical reps who pay regular visits, the "inducements" to schools, doctors and scientists who provide favorable study results . . .   and the money spent suppressing natural competition.  The amount of money we are up against is tremendous.  And money, like power, corrupts.  The greater the amount, the greater the corruption.
