I think we could argue this point indefinitely.  If you vouch for them then that is good enough for me - you strike me as honest and sincere, so I accept that they are good folks who use a lot of natural things and also take approved meds.

I just don't take the approved meds.  Same as I would never under any circumstances do chemo or radiation and would only do surgery (in the event of cancer I mean) if I was convinced it would buy me enough time to take care of the cancer naturally.
