"Get a grip, girl!!!", is what I have to tell myself when it comes to me going into a depression.... although it took some time to let myself know, that the only one that is going to change things is me! I, too have agoraphobia to a degree because I can't travel outside of my area (over 30 - 40 minute drive or ride and I ain't doing it!) I have sought out help through doctors, therapists, shrinks....etc, taken meds for 20 years(that I am still on hoping to get off sometime in the near future),listened to self-meditating and calming tapes, learned how to deep breathe (which is very important since I suffer from extreme panic disorder) but this, I know, is only a few steps towards getting over this darn thing! What I'm working on now is a healthy lifestyle ~~ I have been doing alot of research lately, and a wonderful revelation I have had is that when I start taking care of my body my mind will clear and I can heal myself through raw fruits and veggies, tons of water, yoga and the sort. And, this is the beginning of that journey! You, basically got to get it in your mind that you are alot stronger than you think ~~~ search deep inside by meditating, letting your mind relax. Well, your thinking, that if you could make ends meet financially, you would be alright. I am 48 years old and am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, again!!! No, really, I am searching for another career as the one I'm in is too unstable, not to mention that I don't make very much money. In fact, I don't have $10 in my wallet or the bank right now. You know what I'm gonna do about it? ~~ I'm gonna seek financial support for on-line schooling. I can stay at home and study and get another job. Period. How are you walking into these job places that you have been applying for??? Do you feel that you are the one they should hire?.... Of course you are and they can see it in your positive and "go-getter" attitude that you walk in with, as you sport a warming, happy smile!! Go back to these places with the best attitude you can conjure up and say you are doing a follow-up to find out if the position was filled yet. Well, I just noticed that you had written this a month and a half ago and if you still check back here, I would like to see how you are doing! Maybe we can be email or IM buddies to support each other through these times.... as I know I could use it!!!
