well, no.  he's a nonbiologic dentist and he does root canals.  he may not see anything wrong with having nickel crowns (although he may sell you new ones) and he may not know how to remove mercury properly.  i assume he would drill it, instead of cut it.  i can help you find a more qualified one if you want.
