Yes, however we only have herbs and 30 Aloe in the yard now. Olenader, for Olenander soup and a lemon tree we share with a neighbor.
We planted sunflowers in the garden space in the spring. They are going gang busters.
We have harvested more citrus than we can use for the last two years as our house was built in what used to be an old citrus grove from the late 30's and 40's and many of our neighbors still have the old trees in their yard; they are very prolific. I offer to pick and haul away the fruit during season. I drown in citrus juice for 5 - 6 months a year. Many do not use or pick it for themselves.
I will plant a fall/winter garden of root vegetables come September. I am all ready to go with the supplies. I am also getting the landscaping ready for 3 - 4 fruit trees...
There are olive trees all over the place too, but everyone around here sprays them to keep them from fruiting due to the mess they make and the smell :-( If only they knew.
Mom has given me a small library of organic gardening books.
The biggest effort is at the parents place where we have a large family garden and eight fruit trees, two of them fig trees; also a whole row of rosemary and a huge bay tree among other herbs such as oregano and lavender.
going to plant these...

Egyptian Walking Onions... they grow like weeds and once planted, they say you never have to plant them again.
I am ramping up big time...
