It's sort of like washing a mud covered truck. You just wash it off the best you can to get the big stuff off (liver flush for congested liver) - then you soap it up and hand wash it really really good (HUMAWORM - or other parasite cleanse) - then you wax it to make it look brand new and even shine up the chrome and detail the glass (the liver flush after the parasite cleanse).

If your truck has not been "muddin'" - if it has only been driven on nice clean concrete - then it does not require the "pre-wash rinse" - you can get away with just the regular wash and the detailing.

In my opinion - a relatively healthy liver does not need to be flushed first - whereas a congested liver could use a flush before a parasite cleanse.
