Remember that MH runs a small wildcrafting herb business with a strong emphasis on "natural". The MH forum, which now has several years of track record (archives) of MH regularly giving health/healing advice, is an adjunct to that small business. In simple terms, MH tries to showcase natural products, especially those available from him, while attempting to portray any product which does not fit his idea of natural as poison. Lugol's is a good recent example of something that does not meet MH's ideal since it does not grow on trees. True, Iodine may come from natural sources, but at least a few unnatural processes are required in order to produce Lugol's. Personally, the process required to make Lugol's to me does not seem allt hat far different than what is required to make a walnut tincture. With that view of his in mind, it should not surprise anyone that he often tries to sway people away from things that do not meet his ideal view. Not long after the Iodine Support forum first began, I specifically remember him repeatedly posting/telling people to be wary (fear factor) that if they are looking to purchase Lugol's, they may end up with vetinarian grade Iodine because MH claims to know a person local to him who sells people a product as Lugol's when it is apparently not but instead intended for animals.
I do not argue or question him on his ideals and principles of strictly natural versus un-natural, but his bedside manners and salesman's tactics are a bit crude at times.
