Hi DSR,
No worries we only are using cocoa butter at the moment because we ran out of shea butter. I did notice with shea butter my hair was flatter but with cocoa more fuller. He also insists on washing his hair with beer aswell but i dont lol. His hair is alot stronger and shinier and full. I might take a picture if he allows but dont know if i can post it on here ill try.
I melt the cocoa butter like chocolate but not too much and distribute it through the hair. I also dont use emu oil as much anymore as i now switched to unprocessed health food store bought coconut oil occassionally not everyday. If its in butter consistency i melt it aswell.

But as i said i only used emu oil occassionally not all the time. Cocoa butter is great on its own. I wish i could change my heading of the topic but cant. Because originally i used cocoa butter more then shea. I'm sorry i felt i should have experimented with this more then posting it straight away.
