Ok, I should have been more detailed, sorry, I havnt got them wet at all, i basically dried them out completely, no water, no moisturizers, no saliva at all, no licking. I didnt let anything touch them. I drank with a straw every time, and used a fork and knife with burgers and sandwiches, and still do. When they were dry and looked bad i left them alone. They got extremely dry, but after several months started to adapt, and began to feel more normal, I actually started going out without lip balm occasionally and talked without problems, as one could with ex cheilitis, as i do have the condition and do notice the problems when talking. Now i go out all day every day for work, communicate with others, and take no balm at all, ive gotten over the psychological aspect of it also.

This is where I realized if this is going to work talking to people without licking the lips or using moistures then when you talk do not let the lips touch eachother when talking, its extremely hard but after two months of practicing words with a b like bumble bee in them or m like mom and making them sound like they should without touching the lips you then get the hang of it, its easy, and i realized the the worst part of the ex cheilitis is US irritating our own lips. Now when i talk i say bumble with my teeth hitting the inside of the lower lip rather then the lips making the sound, and they do not become irritated or dried out, so i can carry short conversations normally. Also, not using balms has lessened the irritation, and not getting them wet or force peeling, etc...

In conclusion, irritation seems to be the key facor. Dont irritate them, they wont bother you as much. Dont force this condition, and it will gradually normalize as best it can although we will probably always have ex cheiltis. It will just lessen in severity. You have all seen my lips on the web site

I am making a new website with the same address, when its done im going to post new pics of the now and before so you can all see what i mean. Its not drastic but it is a difference and any difference is better then none.

I will be more detailed there with everything including the procedures.

Another thing i noticed is a little sun is good and makes them feel better as well.
