What type of ointment were u perscribed scrompone? I didnt peel my lips or use anything on them for 6 months and did not see any improvement. It was the worse six months of my life because my lips looked so gross. I don't suggest doing this if you are going to try and be social. The way i did it was to leave it alone and let it get hard then trim off whatever started falling off. It peeled like every 5 days for 6 months straight. I would tell myself that I saw it getting smalled or better but in reality it didn't change. Then I got a girlfriend so I stopped doing that and peel once a day now. This might not be the same result for everyone though. Maybe if your effected area isnt that bad or is a small area of ur lip than u could prob just leave it alone and see if it goes away. Another thing is you could not touch the top part of ur lip and do ur normal routine to ur lower lip if both areas are effected and if the top healed than the bottom will prob heal if u leave that alone. But atleast testing the theory on only a portion of the effected area will be less stressful. This has to be the weirdest problem to have. I mean I havnt heard anything in the public about this condition and what about people in past centuries? do you think this condition has any history? Maybe there is somthing in modern time that allows this condition to exist. Why doesnt the skin on our lips just heal up like every other part of our bodies and how come i have perfectly normal parts of my lips? I dont know I guess the only strategy here is to hope we find a cure or some of our doctors find a cure. right now I am trying grapefruit seed extract. Ive been putting it on my lips and taking it internally. It is supposed to cure a lot of problems with fungus, bacteria, and viruses. It supposed to clean up your GI on the inside and throughout your body sorta like Antibiotics . I havnt seen any improvement but its only day 4. Let ya know if this works peace.
