Tks, J. Definitely considering the 125 or 165. Why wait? Well, I thought perhaps if I got onto the HQ, stepping things up a bit - I will be better prepared/informed to take on one of the AR products. They appear so complicated, and I'd need a teacher (which I have, but this would mean living somewhere I'd prefer to avoid for a month).

I think it's inevitable that I get a real function/frequency generator.

Can you, or Newport, answer this - the F125 or 165: Does one need to have a strong grasp of the language, technology, etc. to begin use, or can this vernacular be picked up along the way? Also, once one makes a purchase from Atelier Robins, do they provide any tech support, etc.?

Any other equipment needed? You both talk about EMEM and tubes and stuff I just barely understand at this juncture. So much to learn. If I had 50% of my original cerebral capacity, it would be a cinch. But as of yet - I can hardly read a book, write a letter. My coordination is screwed (hand/eye and more) which also concerns me as I contemplate a more sophisticated unit.

$$ is not the real concern - my ability to operate any product is.

Thanks for all input.
