I've had two mirena coils - am in the fourth year of the second one. For almost two years I have suffered from SUDDEN loss of energy - it's incredibly scary. Sometimes I get ravenously hungry and feel like I'll die if I don't eat. Other times I'm incredibly nauseous and just can't stomach food all day (late at night I can eat). I have been checked for thyroid, auto immune diseases - hospitalised three times!!! Severe constipation, no matter how healthy my diet. I used to be full of energy and for FOUR MONTHS have been bed ridden, unable to work, feeling really ILL. Does anyone know what I mean? Sorry for the long posting - but it might help someone. THis site has been a godsend. I'm going to have the coil taken out as my night sweats, abdo pain etc is so bad now. Not to mention the loss of income. Also - tingling in hands and feet. Dizziness so bad I can't drive, barely cross the road I'm so confused. One neuro has diagnosed early stage MS but I don't believe it's this.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I'll post back how I feel after I get this thing out.
